Like many facets of our lives, post-secondary education is changing rapidly, responding to demographic pressures, new technology and societal demands. These changes will bring some new challenges and opportunities to the post-secondary system.

This year, Education Week is March 5 to 10, with the theme
"BC Education: A World of Opportunity".

What college or university should I attend? What program should I take? How much will it cost? What are the chances I’ll end up getting the job I want?

These kinds of questions are very much on the minds of secondary and post-secondary students as they prepare for their education, training and working careers. Answers can be found in the updated version of Opening Doors – the most comprehensive database of post-secondary information in B.C.

Hosted by Victoria’s Centre for Education Information and BC’s “Banner Institutions”, more than 300 university and college administrators and IT staff will attend the “Western Banner Users Conference”, October 30-31 at the Victoria Conference Centre. Seventy institutes of higher education will be represented*, from Alaska and the Yukon, through to California’s Silicon Valley and San Diego, from the University of Victoria, to McGill University in Montréal.
